1990 Rover Mini Mayfair

This exceptionally well-preserved 1990 Mini is a particularly appealing example, showing just 31,000 miles and having had only four former keepers.

Supplied new to Miss L. Leyland by Tannery Farm Garage in St Helens on 28 March 1990, the Mini is accompanied by copies of earlier V5 documents, which indicate that it remained within the family of the original purchaser for much of its life. The original bill of sale is also present, confirming a purchase price of £6,099.

The car is believed to retain its original body panels and has benefited from a high-quality repaint in the recent past. The Flame Red finish presents extremely well, complemented by bright, well-preserved chrome and a set of Minilite-style alloy wheels fitted with matching Yokohama tyres. Scuttle arches complete the look, giving the Mini a purposeful stance while retaining its unmistakable character.

Inside, the original Flint trim remains in place and is presented in very good order. The interior has not been modified, preserving the authentic feel and specification of this desirable 1990s Mini.

Remarkably, the car appears to have avoided the corrosion issues commonly associated with Minis of this age. Its exceptional condition suggests that it has been carefully dry stored throughout much of its life and used sparingly, which is reflected in the low indicated mileage.

The Mini has been part of a well-maintained private collection and is running and driving very well. It is ready to be enjoyed immediately, whether as a show car, an engaging classic daily driver or a charming addition to any collection.

With its low mileage, limited ownership, original interior, original bill of sale and outstanding presentation, this is far from an average Mini. Examples of this quality are increasingly difficult to find, and this particular car would be a strong contender at any classic car event.
