A proper classic Austin Mini in lovely condition, this 1979 Mini 1000 is exactly the sort of car that becomes harder to find with every passing year.

Having been restored a few years ago, the car has benefited from a substantial amount of work and a host of new parts, finished off with a full respray. The quality of the restoration is easy to appreciate in person, with fresh paintwork throughout and an underside finished in matching body colour — something that gives the car a particularly smart and cohesive appearance.

The attention to detail continues inside, where the interior has been fully retrimmed, while the engine bay has also been resprayed and presents extremely well.

Mechanically, the Mini runs well and everything works as it should. It is a lovely, usable example that retains all the character and charm that makes these early Minis so special.

The car is historic and therefore tax and MOT exempt. The previous MOT expired in 2024 and, due to the car seeing very little use, it was never renewed. Despite the exemption, we are supplying the Mini with a fresh 12-month MOT for its next owner.
