There’s something undeniably special about a British Open Mini. One of Rover’s most recognisable limited editions, it perfectly captures the charm of the classic Mini while adding just enough individuality to make it stand apart.

This 1992 Rover Mini British Open is a particularly honest and usable example, presenting extremely well and retaining all of the character that makes these cars so appealing.

The interior is in excellent condition, while the car has recently benefited from a brand-new roof, which operates exactly as it should. The underside is solid, giving plenty of confidence underneath what is already a very presentable little Mini.

The clock currently reads 58,000 miles, although the clocks have been replaced during the car’s life to match the colour of the seats and door cards. The true mileage is believed to be approximately 95,000 miles, something we feel is important to be transparent about.

Mechanically, the car has also received some worthwhile attention, including a minor head rebuild and new head gasket. The engine has been finished in Austin Green, giving the engine bay a lovely period-inspired appearance.

And importantly, this isn’t a Mini that has simply spent its life being polished and stored away. It has recently driven from Slough to Liverpool to visit a workshop, completing the journey without missing a beat.
