A beautifully presented and remarkably well-preserved Rover Mini Mayfair, finished in the stunning and rarely seen Nightfire Red.
With just 53,000 miles, this is a particularly impressive example that has clearly been cherished throughout its life. The body and shell remain in fantastic condition, with excellent panel fit and a level of originality that is becoming increasingly difficult to find on a classic Mini of this age.
Mechanically, the Mini has also been tastefully upgraded over the years to make it a fantastic little car to drive, while retaining its original 1275cc single-point injection engine.
The car previously benefited from around £2,000 of mechanical and suspension work, including Hi-Lo adjustable suspension, adjustable tie rods, new poly bushes, new shock absorbers and Cooper S 7.5” drilled and vented front discs with Mini Sport four-pot calipers.
It sits perfectly on 10-inch wheels, giving it a much more traditional Mini appearance and, combined with the upgraded suspension and brakes, a brilliant driving experience.
The interior has also been upgraded with a Cooper Sport interior, complemented by a walnut dashboard and Mountney steering wheel.
Its history isn’t just paperwork either. Following the mechanical work, the Mini was driven from Shropshire to the Italian Job event in the Alps and back, reportedly completing the journey without issue — a fantastic piece of history to accompany the car.
